Lessons Related to DBQ Period (1810-1860)

  • This site contains different on-line lessons that relate to the DBQ time period.  Most of these lessons will be covered during class time.  However, some of these lessons may be assigned as homework.

Practice Tests

  • The Enduring Vision Online Quizzes - this site contains quizzes for ALL Enduring Vision.  Thanks to Maddy Sides for the link to practice tests with many questions.
  • Blackboard.com Quiz Site - This site is run by Blackboard.com.  This link takes you to their practice exam page.  Choose the U.S. History link and then create a practice exam from the book of your choice.  We recommend using America:  Past and Present to create your practice exam.  Choose the time period you want to practice.  This site even allows you to choose the number of questions you want in your practice exam.
  • Ms. Pojer's A.P. Multiple Choice and Matching Quizzes - from Marina H.S. in New York State.  Two different types of quizzes - multiple choice and "fact-recall" (matching).  Several different versions of multiple choice should make this site useful for your review sessions.

  • America:  Past and Present Online - this site contains numerous helpful student resources:  chapter summaries, primary sources with questions, quizzes, maps, and more.  Best of all, they provide answers for you.  Easy to navigate, this site is user friendly.
  • The Enduring Vision Online - this site contains primary source documents as well as quizzes.  Not as comprehensive as the America: Past and Present website, but it should still be quite useful.
  • Mr. Williams Homepage - for those of you in Mr. Williams' class this site contains lesson plans, reading assignments, etc.
  • History Notecards - this page contains terms definitions for over 1603 significant U.S. History terms.  Remember, you may need to do some background reading in your history text for these to make sense.
  • Great American History Fact-Finder – created by your textbook The Enduring Vision.  This site organizes terms alphabetically.
